Whereas the World Student Christian Federation is committed to ending militarism, violence and injustice in all regions of the world,

And whereas we as Christians are called to be peacemakers and to seek justice,

We, the 34th General Assembly of WSCF, condemn the military invasion of the Russian army into the territory of the sovereign state of Georgia on August 8, 2008. We demand that military activities cease in Georgia and that all parties involved begin negotiations for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
