National Council of Churches of USA greets GA participants![]() The General Secretary of the National Council of Churches in the USA has expressed his gratitude to the GA participants for choosing to come and gather with many other Christian students from all over the world to promote dialogue regarding common concerns with the NCC, such as ecumenical formation and migration issues. Greetings from General Secretary of the NCC, Dr. Michael Kinnamon follow below: Dear Participants in the World Student Christian Federation General Assembly: Greetings to you on behalf of the thirty-five member communions of the National Council of Churches in the U.S.A. I give thanks that each of you has felt God’s claim on your life and has chosen to join with other Christian students from around the world in this assembly. May you seek God’s guidance in your deliberations and experience the presence of God’s Spirit in your fellowship with one another! The National Council of Churches shares with the World Student Christian Federation a number of concerns, including the importance of ecumenical formation, the necessity of immigration reform in countries such as mine, and the urgency of interfaith relations and environmental justice in our “post-modern” world. I look forward to the word from your assembly and on these and other topics. Warm regards, Michael Kinnamon Photograph: |
