Dear Dr. Guest and Rev. Wallace,

On behalf of the World YWCA, I want to congratulate the World Student Christian Federation as you meet in Montreal, Canada to celebrate the 34th General Assembly under the theme "Yours sons and daughters will prophesy".

The World YWCA is a global women's movement which unites 25 million women and girls in 125 countries through 106 affiliated, autonomous national associations. The vision of the World YWCA is of a fully inclusive world where justice, peace, health, human dignity, freedom and care for the environment are promoted and sustained through women's leadership.

With more than a century's history and based on the vision of Christian inclusiveness, both our organizations have strongly contributed to the
development of the ecumenical movement and are the cradle of many great ecumenical leaders. This long common journey, commitment to gender justice, to youth leadership and to peace with justice has developed a strong relationship
between our organizations based on mutual respect and common goals.

Most recently our joint advocacy action on the Zimbabwe post election crisis have brought our staff in Geneva and our constituencies around the world closer in lobbying and advocating for peace with justice, always based and inspired by our
Christian faith.

May the 34th General Assembly be an opportunity to discuss challenges around current burning issues in the world, to analyze them through the lenses of the Word of God, to engage in constructive and fruitful dialogue, to gain in
understanding of different cultures and perspectives, to celebrate together the richness of diversity and to be a prophetic voice in today's church and society.

May God bless You abundantly.

Sincerely,

Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda
General Secretary
