Being a war torn society, the Middle East region is facing many challenges and constraints due to the permanent wars and conflicts. The people of the Middle East, particularly the Christian minority, are daily threatened and forced to emigrate.
The WSCF is urged to actively support the Middle Eastern Student Movements at different levels (morally, spiritually and financially etc) so that they feel safe and secure in their lands, and be able to keep their diversity and culture identity in The Orient as well as providing a space for dialogue and understanding, and so we make the following resolutions.
Resolution on Palestine
The 34th General Assembly of the World Student Christian Federation raises its voice against the violence committed daily against the Palestinians and advocates the return of all Palestinian refugees to live decently in their land. The General Assembly also condemns the establishment of The Separation Wall in Palestine and other ways of dividing the occupied territories. Moreover, The General Assembly takes a stand against the cutting of olive trees which are the main income resource for Palestinians. The General Assembly calls upon all parties involved to resolve the crisis by direct negotiations that aim at reaching a just, viable and comprehensive peace for all people in the region.

Resolution on Iraq
The situation in Iraq stays the most pressing issue in the Middle East as it needs immediate solutions. Along with the general disastrous social and economic situation in Iraq, The Church is suffering as its members, priests and servants are killed and kidnapped. The 34th General Assembly of the World Student Christian Federation decries the situation in Iraq, stands in solidarity with the Iraqi people in their everyday struggles, and condemns the bombing of churches and the killing of innocent Iraqi Christians. We affirm the immense courage of the remaining Christians struggling to live in Iraq.

Resolution on Lebanon
The 34th General Assembly of the World Student Christian Federation recognizes that Lebanon should stay a mission of diversity in the Middle East. Therefore, Christians should be allowed to better participate freely and equally in the political life and the decision making process of the country. We ask that Lebanon be safe and not vulnerable to wars and conflicts between different parties and their agendas.
